12th Advanced Laparoscopic Nephrectomy and Transplantation Workshop
As part of SGH Uroweek 2026, I am proud to present the Advanced Laparoscopic Nephrectomy and Renal Transplant Workshop.
The timing could not be more appropriate, as the field of urology continues its rapid evolution towards minimally invasive, patient-centric surgery. This workshop embodies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of surgical precision, safety, and reproducibility in complex renal procedures.
We are honoured to host an outstanding faculty of renowned local and international experts who will share their insights and latest techniques in advanced laparoscopic nephrectomy, donor nephrectomy, and renal transplantation. The programme will cover critical topics including challenging cases, anatomical nuances, troubleshooting in laparoscopy, vascular control strategies, and innovations in renal transplant surgery.
Highlights include lectures and surgical demonstrations by our experienced SGH team, showcasing state-of-the-art laparoscopic approaches in nephrectomy as well as key steps in renal transplantation.
We hope you will find the programme enriching and practical. Above all, we look forward to this workshop serving as a platform to build stronger friendships and foster meaningful collaborations among urologists passionate about advancing renal surgery.
See you at SGH Urology Week 2026!
Mini PCNL & ECIRS Masterclass 2026
This hands-on workshop is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Endoscopic Combined Intrarenal Surgery (ECIRS) and Mini Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (Mini-PCNL) for the management of complex renal calculi. The course integrates didactic lectures, case-based discussions, live or recorded surgical demonstrations, and practical simulation training to enhance both theoretical knowledge and procedural skills.
Participants will learn patient selection, preoperative planning, imaging interpretation, access strategies, tract dilation techniques, intrarenal navigation, lithotripsy modalities, stone clearance optimization, and postoperative management. Special emphasis is placed on the combined antegrade and retrograde approach in ECIRS, ergonomic operating room setup, fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided puncture, and strategies to minimize complications.
The practical component allows delegates to gain supervised experience in renal puncture, sheath placement, nephroscope handling, flexible ureteroscopy assistance, laser lithotripsy, and stone extraction techniques, with a focus on improving efficiency and safety.
We have invited renowned international speakers to teach in this workshop share their experience. This is a great opportunity to meet giants in the endourology.
Advanced BPH Symposium
With this year's iteration of SGH Urology Week focusing on benign prostate enlargement (BPH), I am proud to present the Advanced BPH Symposium.
The theme could not be more apt, as the world shifts to a more patient-centric treatment paradigm, enabled by advances in BPH surgery in recent years. This philosophy can be summarised into 3 words: Bespoke, Precise, Holistic.
We have a line-up of illustrious local and international speakers, who will be sharing their insight and perspectives on BPH Surgery, encompassing minimally invasive surgical treatment (MIST) options, endoscopic prostate enucleation (AEEP), functional urology, challenging cases and new innovations.
There will be a live surgery showcase by our in-house BPH Team on HoLEP, Rezum, UroLift, and I-TIND.
We hope you will enjoy the programme. Most importantly, we hope this will be an opportunity to foster closer friendship and deeper collaboration.
See you at SGH Urology Week 2026!

3rd SGH Urology Robotic Surgery Masterclass
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 3rd SGH Urology Robotic Surgery Masterclass! The robotic surgical landscape continues to gain exciting momentum amidst an explosion of surgical robotic platforms that are rapidly transforming the way we operate and care for our patients.
The 3rd installation of this masterclass continues our commitment to covering a wide spectrum of topics in robotic urology. The programme ranges from instructional lectures designed for surgeons beginning their robotic journey, to discussions on the latest innovations such as single-port surgery and the evolving interface between robotic oncology and robotic reconstructive urology.
As one of the highlights for this year, we also aim to address the real-world challenges we encounter in day-to-day oncological care. These include managing significant radiation-related complications, as well as navigating difficult clinical scenarios such as unexpected pT3a upstaging following robotic partial nephrectomy.
Beyond surgical techniques, we also dedicate time to education and training through our recurring Empower, Educate and Elevate (E3) Forum, where we explore insights on systemic adoption of a robotic surgery programme and mentoring and surgeon resilience.
With this breadth of topics, we hope the programme offers something meaningful for everyone — from trainees to experienced robotic surgeons — and provides opportunities to learn, exchange ideas, and push the boundaries of what robotic surgery can achieve.
I hope you will enjoy the programme we have prepared, and I look forward to an engaging time of academic exchange and friendship.
Hope to see you soon at UroWeek 2026!
